Fact-Checking Medical Claims

Investigating unlicensed medical advice and violations of the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act.

RATING: FALSE & ILLEGAL

Claim: "Astrology can be used to prescribe Molecular Hydrogen to reverse heart conditions and prevent surgery."

Source: Deepanshu Giri's official LinkedIn profile (Sept 2022).

The Facts: Deepanshu Giri is an astrologer and former underwater robotics engineer. He holds NO recognized medical license. Endorsing the prescription of "Molecular Hydrogen" gas to an 80-year-old patient facing chest wall surgery based on "Jupiter in the 8th house" is a severe violation of medical ethics.

Legal Status: This directly violates the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 of India, which prohibits claiming to diagnose, cure, or treat diseases using astrology or magic remedies.

RATING: FALSE & PREDATORY

Claim: "Researching remedies to cure Autism using Vedic Astrology."

Source: Lunar Astro published documents and seminars.

The Facts: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition, not a "past life karma" issue or a "dosha" that can be cured with astrological remedies. Marketing astrological cures to parents of autistic children is widely considered predatory and scientifically baseless.
